EASTER APPEAL

Can you give the gift of life-changing support this Easter?

At a time when so many people are suffering, please support our Christian partners in the Middle East as they offer hope and life-changing care to the most vulnerable in their communities

Embrace supports a number of projects providing expert physical, emotional and social care and rehabilitation across the Middle East. They are not quick fixes. They are about investing in an individual – a child made in God’s image – who would otherwise be overlooked. We know these projects are transformational but we need long-term support to make it possible.

A regular gift of whatever you could afford can ensure the most excluded children in society across the Middle East can receive the care and education they deserve.

If you already give a regular donation and would like to adjust it, or would like to switch your standing order to a regular card donation, please call 01494 897950 and our Supporter Experience Team will be able to help you.

RAMY’S STORY

Palestinian children with disabilities typically face additional hardships, given the levels of cultural stigma directed at disability and constant insecurity of life under occupation.

Ramy’s developmental challenges set him apart from other children his age. When Ramy’s mother first took him to our partner the Princess Basma Center, in East Jerusalem, he would not make eye contact with the staff. Over the last four years, Ramy has received physical and emotional rehabilitation as well as educational support.

This partnership – made possible by supporters of Embrace – means that Ramy now makes good eye contact, balances well and even plays with his siblings and cousins. Ramy’s journey has been long and it continues today, but his story is one of the dedication and resilience of his family and the patient, steadfast care of staff at the Princess Basma Center. Ramy will continue to face challenges as he grows up in a troubled part of the world, but thanks to the work of our Christian partner, Ramy and his family are now empowered to face them.
