Embrace in International Women's Day speech

Embrace the Middle East were thrilled to see the Bishop of Gloucester mention us in her International Women's Day speech. Not only does she champion our partners, but works consistently to promote equality and well being for all those who find themselves living on the margins of society. She said:

‘Last year I had the privilege of visiting Egypt with the charity Embrace the Middle East. I visited some inspiring community projects, enabling women and girls — Christian and Muslim — to be educated, not only in literacy but on issues of health, including the prevention of FGM. Girls’ access to education is crucial and empowers women and girls to be agents of change in their communities, which benefits everyone.’
