Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum + excellent benefits  
Hours: 36.5 per week

Work location: Initially home-based, with the option to work from Embrace’s offices in Amersham, as required  
Length of fixed-term contract: 1 year

Are you inspired to bring hope and lasting change to some of the poorest and most marginalised people living in the Middle East, through education, healthcare and community development projects? Do you want to take the lead in managing and nurturing high-impact, locally owned projects delivered through Christian partner organisations, helping people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice? Are you able to manage grant-funded international programmes through local partner organisations?  

 

Embrace the Middle East is an international Christian charity helping people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice. Our Christian partners in Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine and Iraq run hospitals, clinics, schools and centres for people with disabilities. They provide support services for refugees, enable women's empowerment, work for community development and offer emergency humanitarian relief 

 

Embrace the Middle East is looking to recruit two Programme & Partnership Managers, this autumn on a 1 year fixed term contract, to work within a close-knit team to support, encourage and enable local Christian organisations. Walking and working with them as they deliver high-impact programmes to benefit communities in need of assistance - helping them to realise their God-given potential. 

 

To succeed you will have strong programme management experience, demonstrating an ability to support a portfolio of programmes in Egypt and Lebanon to develop high-impact projects and analyse narrative and financial reports. You will work closely with local partners to monitor and evaluate project success and support their organisational development, ensuring accountability to both the end beneficiaries and our UK-based supporters. This is an excellent time to join this inspired team and to shape the implementation of the charity’s new 5 year strategy – Hope in Action

Dependent on international travel guidelines, international travel up to 3 times a year will be necessary. 

 

There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1, Section 3) that the person appointed be a practising Christian.
