New Photography Competition: Images of the Holy Land

What does the Holy Land mean to you? 

We want to see how you have experienced the Holy Land in your trips to the region in our brand new photography competition, with the winning images featuring in Embrace the Middle East’s exclusive 2021 Calendar - and winners will also get a FREE copy to show off to their family and friends! The best images entered will be featured in an online gallery as well as in the calander.

The theme is 'The light that gives life'– we want to see the amazing and creative ways that you have captured light in the Holy Land – sunrise, sunset, candle light, moonlight and shimmering seas– if you’ve captured the beauty of the Holy Land please share it with us.

Image criteria:

  • Must be photographer’s own original image
  • High quality images (minimum 300 DPI actual size)
  • Landscape photos only
  • Images used in our 2021 Calendar will be printed in postcard format (6x4 inches/A6) therefore the image must have a strong impact at this size with not too much fine detail.
  • Please state the area of the Holy Land that your image depicts and if any specific landmarks are visible, please give details. 
  • If you are able to include the story behind your image and the date on which it was taken, this would also be of interest.
  • Images must not include any people, car number plates or any other branding, data or copyrighted item which may prohibit commercial use
  • Image must be free from any watermarks and copyright symbols
  • All competition participants are welcome to send details of their own photography websites and/orInstagram or blogs and we will endeavour to share links to winners’ work on our social channels.

  • Winners will be announced on Friday 31 March
