Embrace supporters gear up to Ride London!

This summer, five cycling enthusiasts and Embrace supporters are taking part in Ride London – a 100 mile cycle race through the closed roads of London and on to Surrey’s stunning country roads and hills.

They have all chosen to ride for Embrace for different reasons, but they all want to make a difference to people in the Middle East who need our support.

Ben Walker, above, is riding in memory of his Mum, Jenn, pictured right, who sadly passed away in June 2016. Jenn was a long-time supporter of Embrace.

Ben says: ‘Mum had a strong faith, touched many people throughout her life and believed in practical, social good works. She belonged to Merrow Methodist Church in Guildford where she was an active member for 40 years.

‘She supported charities throughout her life including the sponsorship of children in the Middle East through Embrace. She even visited the region and saw the difference her generous contributions made.’

Paul is also riding in memory of Jenn, who was his aunt and adds: Jenn was an incredibly kind, caring, loving and thoughtful person. For many years Jenn helped others in need within her own community and further afield including travelling to the Middle East. She was always a very positive person and was always happy to be around her friends and family.’

The ride takes place in just a couple of weeks on Sunday 30 July 2017.

Please, remember all of our brilliant riders in your prayers as they train and prepare for the challenge. And click on the links below to read the reasons each is riding and perhaps encourage them with a donation!
